Is a bus rapid transit system that links the airport with the city centre, concretely, the Civic Centre bus station located on Hertzog Boulevard.

Buses departs every 20 minutes approximately and runs from 05.30h-06.30h to 21.00h.-21:30h. Total journey time is 30 minutes.

MyCiti bus station in Cape Town Airport is located on the doorstep of the main terminal. It is easily accessible from both arrivals and departures hall.


The cost of the ticket is calculated by the travelled distance between the airport and the final destination. Despite the km/rate, there are various charges depending of the season of the year.

Where do I buy my ticket?

In order to use MyCiti, it is compulsory to use any of the myconnect cards (the most common is R35), however there are also R30 and R100 cards.

On the other hand, you can also use single-trip cards, which aren’t refundable. Myconnect cards can be purchased at MyCiti station kiosk and at certain retail stores.

Shuttle services

From the airport there are also various private shuttle companies that offers service and runs to other destinations. Shuttles pick up passengers on the arrivals of the terminals.
