International Terminal Cape Town Airport

Cape Town Airport Terminals are located in a main terminal building split into international and domestic concourses and linked by the Central Terminal.

The Central Terminal joints both terminals through a common central area, the check-in area.

Given this fact, some people consider Cape Town Airport has three terminals, although most of them consider it as a single one (Central Terminal) with a couple of concourses (International and Domestic Terminals).

International Terminal

Cape Town Airport International Terminal is located at the north (entering to the building, to the right).

Levels

Cape Town Airport Terminal building is split into three levels:

Ground Floor (Arrivals)

This is the Arrivals level.

From this section, access to:

- Domestic arrivals and bus stops to domestic departures (right side).

- International and regional arrivals and to international bus stops (left side).

Access to the Transport plaza, where ground transportation options are available (bus, taxi, car rental).

Services

- International Arrivals: Arrivals hall, passport control, baggage carousels, meeting areas and customs.

- Domestic Arrivals: Baggage carousels, meeting area.

Other services: Chapel, Prayer Room, CIP Lounge, Coffee Shop, Counter, Smoking Area, Restrooms, Stores: Book and Magazines, Accessories, Music, Gifts, etc., Food and Beverages, Restaurants, Dry Cleaner, Drop-off Area.

Second Level (Departures)

This is the Departures and check-in level. 

Passengers can access to this level by the elevated roadway.

Services

- Domestic Departures: Check-in, boarding gates, security screening, ATMs, pharmacy, banks, currency exchange, food, drink and retail concessions.

- International Departures: VAT refund, security screening, check-in, passport check and boarding area.

Other services: Departures waiting area, Stores, Restaurants and bars.

Mezzanine Level (Services)

This level is dedicated to the food court.

Services: Spur/Cactus Bar, Smoking Area, Retail stores, Restaurant.

transfer between terminals

Cape Town Airport Terminals are connected through the Central Terminal.

On the other hand, if you wish to access to Arrivals and Departures by car, you can do that by an elevated roadway system, while the underground walkways connect to the parking garages.

Note that at the ground level, domestic and international terminals have at their passengers convenience a free bus to the automated baggage handling system in the Central Terminal.
