Cape Town Airport provides different options for passengers in terms of transportation from the airport.

My CiTi shuttle

Buses departs every 20 minutes approximately and runs from 04.30h-05.00h to 22.00h.

The cost of the ticket is calculated by the travelled distance between the airport and the final destination. Despite the km/rate, there are various charges depending of the season of the year:

- Mover in Saver fare period - R48,20

- Mover in Peak fare period - R54,50

- Standard in Peak or Saver fare periods - R66,90

Other Shuttle

From the airport there are also various private shuttle companies that offers service and runs to other destinations. Shuttles pick up passengers on the arrivals of the terminals.

Transport to and from the airport is also provided by metered and authorized taxis. Travel time is about 20 minutes.

Touch Down Taxis is the officially authorised airport taxi company and travellers. We recommend you to pick up a licences taxi instead of unauthorised taxis.

To request the service in advance, please, call: 083 652 0786 or 082 569 7555.

Pre-booked Transportation

It is one of the most cheapest ways to get around in terms of private transportation. The ride should cost between R260-R310.

There are various companies that provides the services as: Rikkis, Excite, Sport, Kestrel, among others.

Cape Town airport is accessible from the N2 freeway with Airport Approach Road providing a direct link between the N2 (at exit 16) and the airport.

Another alternative if you plan to book a tour of any type, is to use the following service which will happily collect you at the airport Randy's Cape Town Tours.

Currently there is no direct connection between a Rail station and Cape Town airport but the project has been proposed.
